Who are the top contenders for the Mike Richter Award? It’s still early, but I look at my current top five candidates and give one goalie from each league that has a chance to break through.

• College football coaches are beginning to plan for roster caps starting next year, even though the House v. NCAA settlement hasn’t been approved yet. Is this what college hockey’s future is this offseason?
