Talks were slow at the beginning of the week, but things have ramped up in the last 24 hours at Arizona State, where ASU AD Graham Rossini is close to naming a new head coach. It appears that the new coach may be more than an “interim” head coach. ASU originally wanted to only name someone to the role on an interim basis, but several candidates at least privately were not interested in the job without more assurances.
Former North Dakota coach Brad Berry is a finalist alongside former Northern Michigan head coach Grant Potulny. Talks were still ongoing with both coaches as of Friday morning.
