Trey Augustine will return to Michigan State (#552)
Plus, a full portal update, UConn's Tung signs with the Rangers, another name connected to RPI, and another coach opening?
Michigan State goaltender Trey Augustine informed the Detroit Red Wings that he will return to Michigan State for his junior season, sources told College Hockey Insider on Tuesday morning. That’s huge news for the Spartans, who also landed (reportedly) a top CHL player last week.
In the transfer portal, there were three notable entries on Tuesday, including Michigan State goalie Luca Di Pasquo. I have notes on those three entries, plus other notes/speculation on where some of the top targets could land.
Also in the portal, the top D-II/III player last season is in the portal and has multiple D-I offers.
Also in today’s issue:
UConn goalie Callum Tung signed with the New York Rangers
Trevor Connelly signed with the Vegas Golden Knights
One more name in the mix at RPI
There are rumblings of another potential head coach opening
