Storylines

— The Mavericks lost Jeremy Loranger through the transfer portal, but he was the only significant departure. On the incoming side, junior defenseman Jayden Jubenvill joins the roster after transferring from North Dakota.

The Mavericks have solid forward depth.

Omaha has the No. 7-ranked recruiting class in the country, thanks in large part to its size. The Mavericks are bringing in 10 freshmen, including six forwards, five of whom are rated 4.0 stars or better by Neutral Zone.

It’s also important to note that Omaha was led by several younger players last season, including Maxime Pellerin and Trevor Wong, among others.
