Minnesota likely locked up an NCAA Tournament bid this past weekend after its sweep over Wisconsin at Mariucci Arena.

The Gophers have six regular-season games left and then the Big Ten playoffs. Even if they lose all of their remaining games, they have a better than 98 percent chance of making the NCAA Tournament (and the probability of losing all of their remaining games is extremely low).

Today’s issue (#523) also includes

  • College hockey’s latest commitments included a 4.25-star defenseman from the QMJHL to Bowling Green, and Clarkson added a 4-star forward from the “Q.”

  • Carter Randklev left Bemidji State.

  • The ECAC’s policy to not announce supplemental discipline caused a bunch of speculation this weekend.

  • Artem Shlaine appears to be ok after a scary hit on Saturday night resulted in him getting sent to the hospital.

  • Our weekly look at the inter-conference records of each conference.

  • We have some fun and put together a meaningless bracketology for people to get excited (or upset) about.

  • Pairwise takeaways on UConn and Quinnipiac, including what faces them the rest of the way in the ECAC.

  • NCAA Tournament locks and “virtual locks.”
