NHL talking about standardizing draft rights (#571)

The NHL is discussing standardizing draft rights across the board after the NCAA changed its eligibility rule on CHL players last fall. How will that impact NCAA hockey? It’s hard to say, but I have thoughts on what I believe the NHL will do, and how that could impact college hockey.
Also in this issue (#571):
There’s been a lot of talk about college hockey trying to secure an ABC carve-out in the TV deal (like the College World Series), but the numbers might make that difficult. Additionally, any discussion of home-site regionals must include ESPN.
Stevenson (D-III) has a new head coach, and former Northeastern coach Greg Cronin has a new job.
Mason West committed to Michigan State, but he’s still planning on playing football in the fall.
