Friday night offered a little bit of everything across the college hockey landscape, including third-period swings and some overtime finishers

Western Michigan flipped the script late in Denver, Colorado College grabbed a win in extra time, and Quinnipiac continued to look like a team trending toward March. Add in shutouts from Penn State and Wisconsin, plus an eight-goal outburst from Yale, and it was a busy night on the board.

Western Michigan 4, Denver 1: Denver outshot Western Michigan 36-24, but the Broncos struck for three third-period goals — including a pair on the power play — to earn a road win. Liam Valente scored twice for Western.

Colorado College 3, North Dakota 2 (OT): Philippe Blais-Savoie ended it in overtime for Colorado College. North Dakota forced extra time late in the third on an extra-attacker goal from Ben Strinden.
