Breaking down the Top '09 players eligible for college hockey recruitment on August 1

Friday marks a major milestone on the college hockey recruiting calendar. Starting August 1, players entering their junior year of high school can begin making verbal commitments to NCAA programs.

• Bemidji State has a new assistant on its staff.

• Maryville, which we wrote about last month eyeing Division I hockey in the next 2-3 years, is going to play at least two D-I opponents this upcoming season.
