In today’s issue (#310), Tennessee State officially announced the launch of its club program at the NHL Draft this week, with hopes that the program could elevate to Division I status in a few years. Details inside, including comments from the school’s president, AD, and the NHL.

-- Updates on the assistant openings around the country. Arizona State confirmed Albie O'Connell as its new associate head coach today. We reported his hiring a few weeks ago, which has been rumored for months. O'Connell had at least a few teams trying to hire him this offseason.

Elsewhere, BC and Ohio State are about to hire third assistant coaches. UMass has a replacement for Mike Buckley, Miami advertised its third opening, and more.
