Transfer Portal: Early Day 1 Update

The 2025 NCAA men’s hockey transfer portal opened this morning, and as I write this, 111 players have already entered.

I’m heading up to Manchester soon to cover tonight’s Denver vs. Boston College Regional Final, but here is a quick early update on portal entries.

Top Players Available

These are my rankings, based on several categories including traditional statistics and analytics.

In the days ahead (after Regional Weekend ends), I’ll update portal entries daily in the newsletter with write-ups on notable entries and commitments.

But for the sake of time, here are my top available players at each position (as of this second - it changes quickly, especially on the first day of the portal).
