Random thoughts as college hockey's second half (?) gets underway

Can we really call this the “second half” of the season? Traditionally, as soon as the calendar flips over to the new year, it’s the unofficial halfway point of the season. But this year is different. So many teams have played so few games, it’s more like the season is just getting started.
