Power Rankings: Denver takes over the No. 1 spot (#483)

Issue #483 also includes: Weekend thoughts, the top scorers and goalies from the weekend, and a notebook on NIL positions, cap managers, a game in Texas, and more

Today's issue (#483) leads off with this week's power rankings. My power rankings are a bit different than everyone else's. I'm not ranking teams 1-20 or even 1-16. I'm giving a snapshot of what I believe the NCAA Tournament will look like as of this week.

This feature will disappear sometime in December once the Pairwise carries more weight. At that point, I'll replace the power rankings with my weekly bracketology posts because the Pairwise will then act as the power rankings.

This issue also includes:

• More weekend thoughts on Providence, Union, and Long Island.

• Top performers from the weekend. Who were the best scorers? Best goalies? Who has the longest active scoring and winning streaks?

• Michigan State and North Dakota are reportedly headed to Texas next season.

• We have a date for the CHL vote by the D-I council.

• Minnesota is hiring a “cap manager.”

• Michigan unveiled plans for a huge fundraising effort.

• Merrimack made an addition to its coaching staff.
