Hockey East has claimed another NCAA Tournament spot, at least for this week. UConn slides into the field as an at-large team in this week’s NPI Tracker, though the league’s footing remains precarious, with both the Huskies and Boston College clinging to the final two at-large positions.

In today’s newsletter (#633), I break down the full NPI picture and offer an updated bracket projection. Also in this issue:

  • An explanation of Hockey East’s recent surge in the NPI.

  • A closer look at how the race for the final No. 1 seeds is shaping up.

  • Insight from Boston College athletic director Blake James on the Eagles’ revenue-share budget and how it’s being allocated.

  • A look ahead to the arrival of commercial logo jersey and equipment patches in NCAA competition next season.

Our next mailbag will be posted later this week. You can send in submissions by replying to this email.
