Here’s what I’m hearing on Oklahoma State potentially adding Division I men’s hockey
Plus: Brown head coach Brendan Whittet steps down, injury notes, and latest commitments
The primary financial backer of the Oklahoma State club hockey program wants to see the school elevate the team to Division I by 2030. Significant hurdles remain, however, and several key questions have yet to be answered.
Today’s issue (#634) details everything I’m hearing about the potential for Division I hockey at Oklahoma State, including who is driving the push, what meetings have taken place, and whether legitimate renderings for a new arena actually exist. The issue also examines potential legal issues facing the proposed donor, among other developments.
Also in today’s issue, Brown head coach Brendan Whittet is stepping aside to take a family medical leave. You’ll also find updates on injury situations at Penn State and Arizona State, along with the latest commitments.
