Clarkson 3, Quinnipiac 0: This may have been the biggest surprise of the night. Quinnipiac was shut out and outshot 35–24, as Clarkson delivered one of its most complete efforts of the season. Shane Soderwall turned aside all 24 shots he faced to record the shutout.

Bryce Sookro opened the scoring early in the second period, and from there the Golden Knights took over. Clarkson dominated the middle frame, outshooting Quinnipiac 17–2. Through 40 minutes, the Bobcats were chasing the game, trailing 1–0 and facing a 28–7 deficit in shots.

Quinnipiac pushed back in the third period, but Clarkson sealed the result with a pair of empty-net goals. The Golden Knights will look to finish the sweep Saturday.
