Northeastern 4, UMass 2
The Huskies scored quickly (1:49 into the game) and never looked back. Joe Connor scored his third goal of the season and led both teams with six shots on goal.
Non-Conference
Michigan State 4, Boston University 2
The Spartans were in total control. Gavin O’Connell and Cayden Lindstrom had two-point nights. Lindstrom scored his first NCAA goal.
Canisius 4, Colgate 2
The Griffins stayed hot. They’re off to a 5-1 start and thoroughly dominated this game. Walter Zacher (4) scored again and had two points (so did Rhys Chiddenton).
UConn 3, Ohio State 2
Riley Thompson made things exciting with a power-play goal midway through the third period, but the Huskies held on. Tyler Muszelik made 32 saves.
Michigan 10, Robert Morris 2
The Wolverines hit double-digit goals for the second time in six games. Josh Eernisse and Jayden Perron both had two goals and Jack Ivankovic made 30 saves.
Notre Dame 3, St. Lawrence 0
Nicholas Kempf posted 26 saves for the shutout. Cole Brown assisted on all three goals for Notre Dame. The Saints went 0 for 7 on the power play.
Quinnipiac 4, Maine 4 (OT)
The Bobcats scored twice in the final 2:36 to force overtime. The final few seconds of overtime was filled with excitement, as both teams traded chances. Albin Boija stopped 35 shots for Maine.
Boston College 5, RPI 1
The Eagles held RPI to just 11 shots on goal. James Hagens had two goals and Dean Letourneau, Will Vote, and Jake Sondreal all had two points. Shot attempts were 70-33 BC.
Vermont 2, St. Cloud State 1 (OT)
Sebastian Tornqvist scored the game-winner for the Catamounts in overtime. Vermont goalie Aiden Wright was outstanding, stopping 45 shots.
Wisconsin 2, Minnesota State 2 (OT)
The Mavericks took a 2-0 lead in the first period but the Badgers came back with two goals in the second period. Alex Tracy stopped 31 shots.
North Dakota 5, Minnesota 2
Three goals in the third period powered North Dakota to a rivalry win over Minnesota. EJ Emery’s goal at the 2:25 mark of the third period was the game-winning goal. UND held the Gophers to just 15 shots on goal (32-15 shot advantage). Dylan James had two goals for UND.
Colorado College 2, Northern Michigan 1 (OT)
Northern Michigan struck first but Klavs Veinbergs tied the game midway through the third period and Ryan Koering won the game for CC in overtime. The Tigers outshot Northern Michigan, 45-17. Oliver Auyeung-Ashton made 43 saves.
Augustana 4, Arizona State 2
One of the surprise results of the night. Augustana goalie Josh Kotai made 26 saves and Augustana scored four unanswered goals after falling behind 2-0 just 8:10 into the game.
Minnesota Duluth 7, Bemidji State 3
UMD fell behind 2-0 but scored six straight goals over a span of just 24 minutes. Jayson Shaugabay, Max Plante, and Zam Plante all had four points.
Western Michigan 2, UMass Lowell 1
The Broncos scored twice in the first seven minutes of the game and held on after Diego Buttazzoni’s first NCAA goal made it a one-goal deficit midway through the third period.
Penn State 5, Long Island 4 (OT)
The Nittany Lions needed overtime to overcome LIU. Aiden Fink scored the game-winning goal and Matt DiMarsico had a hat trick for Penn State. LIU had more expected goals (3.6-3.2).
Lindenwood 4, Denver 2
Arguably the biggest win in the history of the Lindenwood program (at least the biggest home win). This game was dead even. Shots were 33-33 and Denver had a +0.1 edge in expected goals. Hagen Burrows scored two goals for Denver.
Union 3, Niagara 2
Union dominated this game, despite the score. Shots were 47-18 in their favor and Union had a +2.6 advantage in expected goals.
St. Thomas 11, Air Force 2
The Tommies had a 5-0 lead at the first intermission and led 9-0 at the second intermission. They’d score to make it 10-0 early in the third period before Michael Kadlecik scored for Air Force. Lucas Laylin,
Michigan Tech 3, Alaska 1
Noah Reinhart scored what went on to become the game-winning goal early in the third period. Owen Bartoszkiewicz made 26 saves.
Denver-Lindenwood was 4-3, and I think the notes for the St. Thomas-Air Force game got cut off
