“We’re a very poorly coached team based off of what I just saw.”

Cornell 5, Yale 2: A 45-minute delay for ice issues at Lynah Rink didn’t slow Cornell, as Ryan Walsh scored twice in the win.

Hockey East

Vermont 2, Maine 1: A strong bounce-back for the Catamounts after Friday’s 7–0 loss. Axel Mangbo made 35 saves before exiting with an injury; Aiden Wright stopped all eight shots he faced in the final five minutes.

Big Ten
Michigan State 3, Notre Dame 1: The Spartans extended their winning streak to nine. Porter Martone scored his seventh of the season and Trey Augustine posted 28 saves.
Wisconsin 6, Ohio State 5 (OT): A wild finish overshadowed by a controversial call. Thomas Weis was called for interference with 13 seconds left in regulation, giving Wisconsin a power play in overtime. Gavin Morrissey buried the winner.
“How was that game decided by a call like that?” OSU coach Steve Rohlik said. “I don’t get it. With 13 seconds to go. And how it was handled is, in my mind, unacceptable. But we’ll move on. I mean, they scored to win it in overtime but I thought it was a hell of a hockey game. Back and forth, and we did everything we could.”
Officials reviewed the sequence but let the penalty stand.
“It happened to us against Michigan State, the same type of play,” Rohlik added. “Incidental collision. They actually picked up the flag (against MSU). In a situation like that, to me, really? You think my guy was going there to try to hit a guy without the puck? Come on. But what do you do? You’ve got to kill it off and give those guys some space. It’s too bad it had to end that way.”
Penn State 4, Michigan 2: The Nittany Lions responded after Michigan rolled in the series opener. Joshua Fleming stopped 32 shots.
NCHC
Western Michigan 6, Miami 2: The Broncos overpowered Miami, outshooting the RedHawks 51–16. Miami managed just five shots through two periods, and at one point in the second period shots were 34-3. Ty Henricks scored twice.

Omaha 2, Minnesota Duluth 0: Dawson Cowan made 32 saves, turning aside one of college hockey’s more potent early-season offenses.
Arizona State 4, North Dakota 2: The Sun Devils answered Friday’s loss with a clinical finish, scoring four times despite being outshot 41–15.
