Breaking: Chris Bergeron out as Miami head coach
Chris Bergeron is out as head coach at Miami, sources tell College Hockey Insider.
Bergeron just completed his fifth season behind the bench for the RedHawks, who went 7-26-3 this season and fell in the NCHC quarterfinals to North Dakota.
Bergeron, 53, was previously the head coach at Bowling Green. He had one year remaining on his contract at Miami.
Miami has won at most eight games in the last five seasons. Bergeron finishes his Miami run with a record of 35-116-16. In 2019, he led Bowling Green to the NCAA Tournament.
Miami joins Princeton, Stonehill, Lindenwood, and Bowling Green as current open positions.
