A full breakdown of college hockey schools opting in to the House settlement (#576)
Also: WHL commish Dan Near on CHL/NCAA, staffing updates, Hockey Canada exploring a November WJC camp, and more
We now have the full list of hockey programs participating in the House settlement. Schools were required to notify the NCAA by June 15 whether they planned to opt in or opt out for the 2025–26 academic year.
In today’s issue, we’re breaking it all down—conference by conference—with notes on which programs opted in, which opted out, and some context around those decisions. Plus, for anyone who needs a quick refresher, I’ve included a rundown of what it actually means for a school to opt in or out of the House settlement.
Also in today’s newsletter (#576):
– WHL commissioner Dan Near was interviewed on The Pipeline Show, and some of his comments made the rounds on social media Wednesday. We’ll break down what he said—and share some reaction.
– Staffing updates at Quinnipiac, Army, and Omaha.
– Jay Pandolfo has signed a new contract extension at Boston University.
– Hockey Canada is considering moving its World Junior camp to November. What could that mean for NCAA players hoping to make the team?
– Guy Gadowsky spoke about Gavin McKenna—and more.
