(#460) Judge puts the House v. NCAA settlement on ice
Lawyers from both sides are due back in three weeks to see if a new deal can be reached
This issue breaks down yesterday’s hearing in the House v. NCAA case. Lawyers from the plaintiffs and the NCAA had agreed on a settlement, which was set to reshape the way college athletics operate. However, a U.S. judge overseeing the case rejected the settlement and sent the sides back to the negotiating table, taking issue with limits placed on booster payments to athletes.
