(#453) Contract news and a new hire at College Hockey Inc.
Bill Riga signed a contract extension at Holy Cross and Steve Metcalf re-upped as HEA commissioner. College Hockey Inc. has a new director, plus assistant updates at Lindenwood, Sacred Heart & more
I’m working feverishly on completing my rankings calculations to finish the preseason preview. That’s been taking up most of my week! But the good news is that I’m almost complete and should be done calculating ALL teams by tomorrow night.
So, get ready for a lot of team previews next week. We’ll be banging these out until the start of the regular season.
Today’s issue has some news items that I needed to catch up on, including:
— College Hockey Inc. has a new executive director
— Hockey East commissioner Steve Metcalf has a new contract, and so does Holy Cross head coach Bill Riga.
— A notebook with assistant updates at Lindenwood, Northern Michigan, UConn, and Sacred Heart, plus a lot more.
Before we get into today’s newsletter, I joined Jimmy Murphy and Pierre McGuire’s “The Sick Podcast” yesterday to talk the latest in college hockey. You can check that out here (my segment begins at the 16:00 mark):
