(#428) Could San Jose firing David Quinn impact college hockey?
Plus: David Carle will return as U.S. WJC coach, the U.S. Hockey HOF game, more news in our notebook, and a mailbag on Princeton and other topics
David Quinn was fired by the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday. Could that have a ripple effect that impacts college hockey?
Maybe.
Plus, David Carle will return to Team USA as head coach of the 2025 World Junior team, and the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame game is an interesting matchup (in Denver).
On top of that, there is a new tournament happening in Palm Springs, Lennie Childs (Union assistant) has a new job, Lindenwood made Bill Muckalt’s hiring official, and I have a mailbag with questions on Princeton, independent teams, Jared DeMichiel, and the transfer portal.
COACHES/PLAYERS/ADVISORS: This time of year is extremely busy. If you have a portal update (addition or commitment) to add to our tracker, please do not hesitate to email me at mike@collegehockeyinsider.com. I want to ensure our tracker sheet is 100 percent accurate.
