(#383) Wiedler signs new contract at Vermont, NCAA bracket projection, another CHL lawsuit, and Swankler will miss BGSU series
Vermont coach Steve Wiedler had the interim tag removed from his title, and he signed a four-year contract to remain the permanent head coach for the Catamounts.
— I have my latest bracket projection in this issue, which looks at the pairings and examines tournament probabilities. Who are the locks? Who is still alive for at-large bids? According to the math, two teams can lose the rest of their games and still make the NCAA Tournament with 100 percent certainty. Based on performance, there are other teams I'm comfortable identifying as "locks" because the chances that they'll lose the rest of their games are slim to none.
— The CHL was hit with a lawsuit that isn't directly connected to the CHL/NCAA eligibility issue, but it's worth keeping tabs on because the result could impact the CHL/NCAA issue in the future.
— Austen Swankler won't be in the lineup for Michigan Tech this weekend when they visit his former team, Bowling Green.
