Todays’ newsletter features the first half of my takeaways from Week 4 of the college hockey season. Specifically, I look at the NCHC, ECAC, and Atlantic Hockey with takeaways on Miami, North Dakota, Cornell, Harvard Dartmouth, Bentley, RIT, Holy Cross, and Mercyhurst.

• Former UMD Bulldog Adam Johnson died over the weekend after he suffered an injury on the ice due to a skate blade. Former North Dakota forward T.J. Oshie will try wearing an undershirt with a neck guard built in.

• In our notebook, new D-III program Keene State has a head coach, and Army and AIC had their game over the weekend postponed.
