(#291) Binghamton will add men's hockey; portal and coaching updates
Binghamton University AD Gene Marshall said the school plans to launch a D-I men’s hockey program within the next two years.
Alaska signed head coach Erik Largen to a contract extension after he was being courted by Minnesota State last week.
Several transfer portal commitments are in this issue, including players to Wisconsin, Western Michigan, Arizona State, Colorado College, Canisius, and Augustana.
Bowling Green will bring back Austen Swankler and goaltender Christian Stoever. Plus, BGSU head coach Ty Eigner had an interesting quote on the transfer portal. Is there room for some middle ground in the portal? Under NCAA guidance, probably not.
