Luke Strand was named the new head coach at Minnesota State on Monday. This issue leads off with more info and reaction on Strand taking over for the Mavericks.
In the transfer portal, there were 13 commitments over the weekend, including players to Bowling Green (2), North Dakota, Michigan Tech, Clarkson, Providence, Colgate, Minnesota State, Omaha, Canisius (2), Bentley, and Lake Superior State.
There were 10 portal entries, including five from BU and three from Michigan as well as a top-10 goalie (in save percentage), who is also an underclassman.
There’s a rumor on the NCHC becoming the Summit League … I’ll explain what’s really happening.
Finally, some news on BU players going pro, and Merrimack announced several key returners for 2023-24.
