(#284) Knott turns down Minnesota State, Mankato opens national search

In today’s issue (#284) Todd Knott turned down the Minnesota State job and will be headed to Wisconsin to join Mike Hastings.

I wrote last week that I believed this could be a likely scenario for a variety of reasons. Now, where does Minnesota State turn? They could have a long list. I detailed some candidates in an issue last week and upon further review, added a few more names that I believe could be in the mix for that job.

Plus, I broke down the details (there weren’t many) of last week’s Congressional hearing on NIL money. It was a circus.

There are also more transfer portal updates, including five new commitments. New players committed to St. Thomas, Augustana (2), Rensselaer, Utica, and RIT.

Lastly, I run down the latest commitments. Providence added a big 2024 NHL Draft prospect and Sacred Heart committed a 3.5-star forward from Ontario.
