In today’s issue (#243) I have my first bracket projection of the season. Some people hate this exercise, and some people love it. Frankly, it doesn’t mean anything. The season isn’t over. However, I do believe this is a good exercise to track the week-to-week movement among teams in the Pairwise and where they could be played for the NCAA Tournament.

Also in this issue …

  • Hockey East had a humbling weekend. The league saw three teams drop out of NCAA Tournament positions in the Pairwise. Two coaches reacted to their teams’ troubles this weekend. Ironically, those coaches will play this weekend.

  • Have you heard about the travel issues UNO forward Tyler Weiss had two weeks ago? There was a cool report on that story, including the unlikely hero.

  • A Maine forward signed a pro deal.

  • We take a look at Frozen Fenway attendance numbers from over the weekend, including historical attendance for the event.

  • Plus, the latest commitments around college hockey.
