(#160) Big names enter the portal and commit, NHL signings, mailbag

In today’s issue (#160) we have a huge transfer portal update, including 19 portal commitments from the last few days and 23 new entries. Included in those entries are three players I have ranked in the top-five forwards available. A new addition is also my second-ranked defenseman available and a new goalie entry became the top goaltender available in the portal.

There were a handful of expected early signings after the Frozen Four. Plus thoughts on Georgi Merukulov signing with Boston. I also have a mailbag on portal rankings and Union’s opening. Augustana is getting closer to a hire as well, with a few top assistants from the west as leading candidates.
